Prior to an opening round match of the SHIMMER Title Tournament, it was announced that Serena Deeb failed to make it to the building due to a car accident. The victory was awarded to Ariel by forfeit, but Alicia emerged to goad Ariel into letting her replace Deeb in the tournament. Ariel accepted, leading to this match.
