This match was originally scheduled to be Cheerleader Melissa vs. Robert Thompson in an Evening Gown/Tuxedo match, but she was let down when Robert came to the ring in his street clothes and told her and the fans that he refused to fight. As Robert tried to convince Melissa they should be lovers and not fighters, Larry Blackwell entered the arena wearing a bow tie and ready to fight.
